There was a real and urgent need for The Royal British Legion to sustain the intensity of their fund

raising activities all year round, not just from mid October until mid December.

 

We approached the Royal Mint,

who in 2021 have agreed to continue to support the fund raising momentum gained during the recent First World War Centenary, by producing 90 million £1 coins with

a red poppy on.

If you receive one in your change you will be encouraged to pop it back into the collection box in your supermarket, newsagent, bank, shopping centre or even your local pub.
